Dorset Police says knife crime has continued to decline across the county.
Figures for April 2025 to April 2026 show knife-related offences were nine per cent lower than the previous 12-month period.
The force says positive outcome rates for reported knife crimes have also increased.
Dorset Police says the county is currently ranked first nationally for offences compared with population, meaning people are less likely to be a victim of knife crime in Dorset than anywhere else in the country.
The force says the fall follows targeted patrols, partnership work, weapon seizures, stop and search activity and public cooperation.
This week Dorset Police is taking part in the national Sceptre campaign, which runs from May 18 to May 24 and focuses on tackling knife crime.
Activities include weapon sweeps, school education sessions, public engagement events using knife arches, and surrender bins at Bournemouth, Weymouth and Blandford police stations.
Detective Superintendent Andy Bell said the force remains committed to removing knives from the streets and pursuing those who carry them.
