A 16-year-old boy has been seriously injured after a reported assault in Bournemouth.
Dorset Police received a report at 7.18pm on Sunday 26 April 2026 that the teenager had been assaulted in the area of Maclean Road.
It was reported that the victim had sustained suspected stab wounds and he was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries believed to be serious.
A full investigation has been launched, with detectives from BCP CID leading enquiries into what happened. A cordon was also put in place so officers could examine the scene.
A 17-year-old boy from Poole and a 17-year-old boy from Bournemouth have been arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent. They remain in police custody.
Detective Inspector Neil Jones, of BCP CID, said officers are carrying out “extensive enquiries” and want to hear from witnesses or anyone with information.
He also asked residents with CCTV or doorbell cameras, and motorists with dashcam footage from the area, to review it for anything relevant.
There will be an increased police presence in the area, and officers can be approached with information or concerns.
