Man seriously hurt in Poole collision

A man in his 50s has been seriously injured after a collision on Blandford Road in Poole.

Emergency services were called at 5.37pm on Monday 20 April 2026 following a crash involving a green Nissan Micra and an electric bike, with the rider taken to hospital by ambulance for treatment to serious injuries.

Road closures remained in place on Blandford Road while emergency services responded to the incident and carried out an examination of the scene, with officers also working to keep the area safe during the evening.

Police Sergeant Dan Yates said officers want to hear from anyone who was in the area and saw what happened, adding: “If you were driving in the area and captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage, please get in touch.”

He also thanked people for their patience while the closure stayed in place, saying: “I know the road closure is impactive at a busy time of evening,” as enquiries continue into the circumstances surrounding the collision.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police and quote incident number 20:428.
