Poole Civic Centre sale delay confirmed

BCP Council has confirmed the sale of Poole Civic Centre has not yet been completed.

The building, which has been unused since 2022, was expected to be sold for £5.25 million to a Manchester-based developer.

The deal had previously been due to complete by the end of March 2026.

However, it is now understood the sale is still ongoing, with no official reason given for the delay.

The former headquarters of Poole Borough Council has not served as a civic centre since the creation of BCP Council in 2019.

Plans for the site are expected to support local housing targets.

The council has previously said the sale could save around £228,000 per year.

The site’s car park has already been closed, with fencing and signage in place since February.
