Dorset Police are appealing for information following an attempted robbery in Bournemouth.
The incident happened at around 1.40pm on Monday 6 April after a man and woman in their 70s withdrew money from a cash machine on Christchurch Road.
As they walked along Annerley Road, a man approached from behind and tried to grab the woman’s handbag.
The male victim intervened and stopped the suspect from taking the bag.
Police say thankfully neither victim was injured and no money was stolen.
Officers have now released CCTV images of a man they would like to identify as part of their enquiries.
Anyone who recognises him or has information is being urged to contact police, quoting the incident number.
Information can also be given anonymously via Crimestoppers.
