Thousands of families across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole have received primary school offers today.
More than 99% of children starting primary, junior or middle school this September have been offered a place at one of their preferred schools, with 3,151 Reception applications submitted before the January deadline.
Figures show 99.3% of Reception applicants, 99.24% of Year 3 applicants and 98.56% of Year 5 applicants were offered one of their preferred schools, meaning every on-time applicant living in the area has secured a place for September.
Parents who applied online can now view their offer from 10am, while letters are also being sent to confirm placements, with families encouraged to review their allocation carefully and contact the admissions team if they need further guidance.
Lisa Linscott from BCP Council said “the majority of families have been offered a place at one of their preferred schools”, adding that support is available for those with questions about their child’s placement.
