Andoni Iraola to leave AFC Bournemouth

AFC Bournemouth head coach Andoni Iraola will leave the club at the end of the season.

His departure will bring to a close a 3-year spell on the south coast, during which the Cherries continued to compete in the Premier League and set a club record points total of 56 in 2024/25, securing a joint-highest finish of 9th place.

Fitness coach Pablo de la Torre will also leave when the 2025/26 campaign ends, as the club prepares for change after a period that chairman Bill Foley said helped shape the direction of AFC Bournemouth both on and off the pitch.

Foley said Iraola brought “intensity, innovation, and a clear philosophy”, while head of football operations Tiago Pinto praised his “attention to detail, tactical intelligence and ability to bring the best out of players” during his time at the club.

Iraola said it had been “an honour” to manage AFC Bournemouth and added he was proud of what had been achieved, thanking players, staff, Bill Foley and supporters for making his time at the club so special.
