
Appeal after serious crash in Christchurch
Police are appealing for witnesses after a serious collision in Christchurch.
The crash happened at around 6pm on 8 April on the A35 Lyndhurst Road at Roeshot Hill and involved a red Skoda Citigo and a white and black Honda motorbike.
Emergency services attended the scene following reports of the collision and both vehicles were involved in the incident on the busy route.
The motorbike rider, a man aged in his 20s, and the driver of the car, a man in his 60s, were taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries.
Officers from the Roads Policing Team are continuing enquiries to establish the circumstances leading up to the crash.
Police Constable Lauren Hobkirk said investigators are keen to speak with anyone who witnessed the collision and has not yet contacted police.
She added that a number of people stopped to assist at the scene before officers arrived and they are also being urged to get in touch.
Police are also asking motorists with dashcam footage from the area around the time of the collision to review their recordings.
