Funding open for Dorset community projects

Community groups across Dorset are being invited to apply for funding to tackle anti social behaviour.

The Dorset Police and Crime Commissioner has opened the next round of the Operation Relentless Community Fund, which supports projects designed to strengthen communities and protect vulnerable people.

Grants are available for initiatives that engage young people, divert individuals away from violence or criminal activity and help build resilience within local communities.

The fund forms part of ongoing work to address anti social behaviour in Dorset, where reported incidents are now at their lowest level in 16 years.

Previous projects supported through the programme include diversionary activities such as football training, skateboarding and sailing, alongside community outreach and employability support for people leaving prison.

Voluntary groups, charities and other eligible organisations are encouraged to apply for the latest funding round.

Further details on eligibility, application requirements and deadlines are available on the Dorset Police and Crime Commissioner website.
