Sexy Lobster seafront restaurant planned

A new seafront restaurant is preparing to open in Bournemouth with a focus on local produce.

Sexy Lobster will launch on 17 April at the former Neo site on Exeter Road, taking over a glass dome venue overlooking the sea and bringing a new dining concept to one of the town’s waterfront locations.

The restaurant will serve a menu built around seasonal ingredients sourced where possible from the south coast, including seafood such as oysters, lobster and crab alongside Dorset beef and other meat dishes.

Executive chef Olivia Brinkley, whose background includes Zuma and Tetsuya’s, will lead the kitchen, with a menu designed around “simple, ingredient-led dishes” using high quality produce and influences from a range of international cooking styles.

The venue will also offer a drinks list including wine, Champagne and cocktails, alongside beers, with the space designed for dining throughout the day and evening overlooking the coastline.

Owner Howard Spooner said the aim is to create a place where people can “celebrate the Bournemouth seafront”, combining food, drinks and views in a single setting.
