Poole road to close for resurfacing works
A Poole road will close for resurfacing work during the Easter holidays.
Herbert Avenue will be shut between the junction with Ringwood Road and the junction with Alder Road from 9.30am on 8 April until 4pm on 10 April while the surface of the road is improved.
During the closure the road will be closed to all vehicles and parking or waiting will not be permitted at any time, although emergency access will remain available and access to nearby properties will be maintained where it is safe.
A diversion route will be in place for drivers using Ringwood Road, Wallisdown Road and Alder Road while the work is carried out across the two day period.
The closure was authorised by BCP Council on 12 February under a temporary traffic regulation order which allows the restrictions to remain in place for up to 5 days if needed.
Officials say the dates could be amended or extended if work overruns or if weather conditions cause delays to the resurfacing programme.
