Witness appeal after Bournemouth crash

Police are appealing for witnesses after a reported fail to stop crash in Bournemouth.

The collision happened at around 8.50pm on Tuesday at Cemetery Junction and involved a blue Toyota Aygo and a grey Ford Kuga.

Officers say the driver of the Toyota left the scene on foot following the collision and enquiries are ongoing to identify the driver and establish exactly what happened.

The driver of the Ford, a man aged in his 30s from Poole, was arrested on suspicion of driving offences and has since been released under investigation while police continue their enquiries.

Police Constable Lauren Hobkirk said officers are carrying out an investigation and want to identify the driver of the Toyota who fled the scene.

She said the incident happened in a busy location and urged anyone who witnessed the collision or the moments leading up to it to come forward.
