CCTV issued after Bournemouth knife threat

Police have released CCTV images after a man was reportedly threatened with a knife in Bournemouth earlier this year.

The incident happened at around 3.20pm on Friday 9 January 2026 in the area of Bath Road, where a man was approached and threatened by another man believed to be carrying what appeared to be a Stanley knife.

The victim got into his car and drove away from the scene. Officers believe the suspect then left the area on foot in the direction of Gervis Road.

Dorset Police say enquiries into the incident have continued and investigators are now asking the public to help identify the man shown in the CCTV images.

Police Constable Alex Ayre, of Bournemouth police, said: “We have been continuing to investigate this incident and I am now in a position to issue CCTV images of a man we would like to identify as part of our enquiries.”

He added: “I appreciate the images are not the best quality, but I would urge anyone with information regarding his identity to please contact us.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police quoting occurrence number 55260013617. Information can also be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers.
