Fire crews in Bournemouth successfully extinguished a fire in a second-floor flat above a commercial premises on Old Christchurch Road last night.
The incident was reported at nine-oh-two and crews from Springbourne, Westbourne, Redhill Park, and Christchurch attended, supported by an aerial ladder platform from Westbourne.
Ten firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled the blaze using two hose reel jets and a main jet. Mechanical ventilation was also used to clear smoke from the property. The fire was brought under control and extinguished by ten fifty-four.
Investigations into the cause of the fire are planned to take place today, with Dorset Police assisting.
