Crews respond to Wimborne Minster crash

Emergency services attended a road traffic collision on Blandford Road in Wimborne Minster this morning involving a coach.

The fire service received the call at just before 9am and sent crews from Wimborne, Poole and Redhill to the scene, along with a technical rescue unit from Cosham in Hampshire.

The collision involved a coach and an articulated lorry. Firefighters worked together to make the area safe and assess the situation before beginning a rescue operation.

One casualty was released from a vehicle using hydraulic cutting equipment. Fire crews then left the person in the care of the ambulance service, which remained on scene to provide medical support.
