Residents in Bournemouth shared concerns and ideas about Pokesdown Station and local regeneration at a Boscombe and Pokesdown Community Forum.
The event brought together people from the area for a question and answer session with Bournemouth East MP Tom Hayes, focusing on transport, the high street and support for renters, alongside wider issues such as child poverty and social care.
Tom Hayes said he welcomed the chance to speak directly with residents about Pokesdown Station and regeneration, adding that having his office on the high street meant he spent a lot of time in the area and cared about its future.
The forum also discussed deprivation, SEND provision and adult social care, as well as positive developments linked to the community centre, housing and planned improvements to the high street.
Forum chair Harry Seacombe said the meeting was positive and well attended, with honest discussion about challenges facing the area and recognition of progress being made. He added that the importance of a strong community voice in local decision making was a key part of the conversation.
Organisers said the forum aimed to ensure local priorities in Boscombe and Pokesdown continue to be heard and reflected in future decisions.
