BCP Council officers are supporting residents affected by flooding after Storm Chandra across Bournemouth area.
People living at Iford Bridge Home Park and Redhill and Wheatplot Homes Sites were advised on Wednesday morning to leave their homes as rising flood levels continued to affect the area.
The Environment Agency has advised that floodwaters are continuing to rise and are expected to reach their highest levels later in the afternoon. Council officers are on site working alongside partner agencies to support evacuations and to ensure residents who choose to remain are safe and supported.
Councillor Andy Hadley said officers are working closely with the Environment Agency to support communities affected by flooding caused by Storm Chandra. He said this is a worrying time for residents and confirmed teams and emergency services are on site providing information, support and reassurance to those impacted.
