A major sixties music show with original performers is heading to The Bournemouth Pavilion in April.
The Sensational Sixties Experience brings together a range of artists closely linked to the decade, offering audiences the chance to hear songs that defined an era, performed by musicians who were part of the original recordings and touring line ups during that period.
The line up includes Dozy Beaky Mick and Tich, The Trems featuring former Tremeloes member Jeff Brown, The Fortunes, Spencer James who spent four decades with The Searchers, and Vanity Fare.
Across the evening, on April 23rd, the show revisits chart hits including The Legend of Xanadu, Silence Is Golden, Storm in a Teacup, Needles and Pins and Hitchin’ a Ride, reflecting the changing sound of sixties pop music as it moved through the decade.
Organisers say the production is aimed both at audiences who remember the songs from their original release and those discovering the music through live performance, as the tour continues into venues around the country next year.
