Midfielder Alex Tóth has joined AFC Bournemouth on a long term contract.
The twenty year old moves to the south coast from Ferencváros, the current Hungarian champions, where he progressed through the academy before making fifty two senior appearances, scoring four goals and gaining experience in domestic competition and European matches.
During the previous season, Tóth was part of the squad that won the Nemzeti Bajnokság title, adding to his development at a club regularly competing at the highest level in Hungary.
At international level, he has represented Hungary at every age group from under eighteen upwards and has since earned nine caps for the senior national team after making his debut last year.
AFC Bournemouth Head of Football Operations Tiago Pinto said the club was pleased to add a young player with experience of elite environments, noting his background at a team used to competing regularly while continuing to develop under the current coaching staff.
Tóth said joining the club felt like a clear decision after discussions with staff, adding that he is focused on settling in quickly and working towards strong performances and positive results with the squad.
He becomes the second Hungarian player to represent AFC Bournemouth, following international teammate Milos Kerkez.
