A detailed investigation has resulted in two people being jailed for their roles in deliberate collisions that occurred in Bournemouth in 2025.
Detectives established that Zoe Treadwell pursued and struck Joey Johnstone in South Kinson Drive in April, before being involved in a further planned collision in Kinson Road the following month.
Treadwell, aged 36 and from Bournemouth, received a life sentence with a minimum term of 35 years after being found guilty of murder, attempted murder and causing grievous bodily harm with intent. Jonjay Harrison, aged 25 and also from Bournemouth, was sentenced to 32 years for attempted murder and grievous bodily harm with intent relating to the May collision.
Joey’s partner Sophie said the family could now begin to move forward after nine painful months.
Investigators from the Major Crime Investigation Team used extensive CCTV work, witness accounts and vehicle analysis to link the incidents. Detective Inspector Mark Jenkins said the actions had caused immense harm to the victims and their families and welcomed the sentences handed down.
