Late Semenyo strike seals AFC Bournemouth win
Bournemouth produced a dramatic late comeback to beat Tottenham Hotspur 3–2 at the Vitality Stadium, sealing victory deep into stoppage time after a frantic second half.
Tottenham struck early when Mathys Tel finished from the left inside five minutes, but Bournemouth responded with growing control. Evanilson levelled with a firm header from Marcus Tavernier’s cross, before Junior Kroupi turned in from close range to give the hosts a 2–1 lead shortly before the break.
The visitors pushed hard after half-time and found an equaliser in the seventy-eighth minute, João Palhinha reacting quickest from a corner to make it 2–2. Spurs went close again through Richarlison, whose header struck the post, while Djordje Petrovic made key saves to keep Bournemouth level.
As the match moved into extended added time, Bournemouth found the decisive moment. Antoine Semenyo collected a pass from David Brooks and struck a low right-footed effort from outside the box into the bottom corner, sparking celebrations around the ground.
Tottenham had further late chances, including a final corner and a close-range effort from Mathys Tel, but Bournemouth held firm to secure all three points.
The result marked a significant home win for Bournemouth against Tottenham Hotspur after an intense and eventful contest.
