Teen robbed of e-bike in Poole

A teenage boy has been left without his e-bike after being robbed late at night on a residential road in Poole.

The incident happened at around 10.50pm on Saturday 6 December last year while the teenager was riding along North Road, when a car believed to be a white Nissan Juke pulled up alongside him before the situation quickly escalated.

Police say the boy saw three men inside the vehicle wearing balaclavas and was then knocked from his bike, allowing the offenders to take the e-bike, described as a black Talaria Sting, before driving away from the scene.

The victim did not suffer any serious injuries during the robbery, but officers say the experience would have been frightening and enquiries are continuing to identify those responsible.

Police Constable Kurtis Lacount, of Poole police, said it was “a very frightening experience for the young victim” and confirmed officers are carrying out detailed enquiries to trace those involved.

He has appealed for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward, including motorists who may have been in the area at the time with dashcam, and residents who could have relevant CCTV or doorbell footage.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police online or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55250179562, or to contact Crimestoppers anonymously.
