Cool Coast Ice Rink has reopened at the Bournemouth International Centre, bringing the return of a major winter attraction for residents and visitors in the town.
The indoor ice rink is now welcoming skaters for the season, following strong attendance last year, and will remain in place until Sunday 22 February next year, with sessions available throughout the February half term and a planned closure on Christmas Day.
Organisers say the programme includes a wide range of sessions designed to suit different abilities and needs, from dedicated beginner skates with limited numbers on the ice to advanced sessions for more experienced skaters, alongside relaxed sessions with softer lighting and reduced noise.
New themed skate nights are being introduced next year, featuring music-led sessions with curated playlists covering pop, musicals and alternative genres, designed to offer a different on-ice experience while bringing people together for evening skating events.
Private hire options are also available, giving schools, community groups and businesses exclusive use of the rink for organised activities, celebrations or team sessions, with capacity for large groups.
Steve Turner, Director of Venues at BH Live, said the team was pleased to see the rink return, adding that it was encouraging to see “the community come together once again to enjoy skating at the BIC”.
