Two men from Poole died at the scene of a crash involving two vehicles on the B3078 near the junction with Lumber Lane in Knowlton, just north of Wimborne.
Dorset Police said it received a report at 6.05pm on Saturday 13 December 2025 and officers believe the collision involved a black Audi A4 and a blue Volkswagen T Roc.
Emergency services attended and the drivers of both vehicles, aged 24and 57, were pronounced dead, with their families informed and no passengers in either car.
Road closures were put in place while emergency services responded and a thorough examination of the collision scene was carried out by officers.
Sergeant Richard Stroud, from the Roads Policing Team, said: “Our thoughts are with the families and loved ones of the two people who sadly died”.
He said police are continuing enquiries to establish the full circumstances and urged any witnesses not yet spoken to, and drivers with dashcam footage from the area, to make contact.
