Southbourne-based Bournecoast Property Agents is celebrating 65 years in business and five major wins at the 2025 Destination Management Board Tourism Awards.
Managing Director Des Simmons received Gold for his contribution to local tourism and Silver in the Industry Leader Award, recognising his decades of leadership across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.
Bournecoast also achieved Bronze in Team of the Year, Silver for its Driftwood property and Highly Commended for Inveravon in the Self-Catering category.
Des said it was “an honour to receive these awards in such a special year” and praised his team, landlords and partners for helping the company support the local visitor economy.
With over 25 years leading Bournecoast, Des has played a key role in the region’s tourism strategy, serving as Chairman of the Bournemouth Coastal BID, Bournemouth Tourism Management Board and Bournemouth Accommodation and Hotel Association.
Founded in 1960, Bournecoast has welcomed over a million visitors to the area, providing high-quality accommodation and helping to promote the region as a year-round destination.
Earlier this year, the company marked the first anniversary of its Holiday Seekers brand, offering travel and cruise experiences alongside its established property and letting services.
