Festive shows light up Bournemouth this Christmas
Bournemouth International Centre is set to sparkle this December with a season of festive entertainment and family fun.
The celebrations begin on Saturday 13 December with A Fairytale for Christmas, an Irish-inspired concert featuring singers, dancers, and musicians performing festive favourites.
Elf The Musical returns from Friday 19 to Saturday 20 December with scenes including Santa’s flying sleigh, a snowball fight with the audience, and colourful North Pole backdrops.
On Sunday 21 December, That’ll Be Christmas marks its 40th anniversary with festive classics, comedy sketches, and family cheer.
The BIC’s Cool Coast Ice Rink also returns from Saturday 13 December until Sunday 22 February, offering themed skate party nights and a chance for everyone to take to the ice during the holidays. Last year, the popular attraction welcomed nearly forty thousand skaters.
Steve Turner, Director of Venues for BH Live, said the BIC’s festive calendar offers “something for everyone, from family shows to singalong events.”
Just a short walk away, Bournemouth Pavilion adds to the festivities with The Overtones Christmas Party on Tuesday 11 November, and the Royal Marines Christmas Spectacular on Thursday 27 November.
The Pavilion’s Christmas Cracker Carol Concert returns on Thursday 18 December with free community performances by Michael Wooldridge, Ian Carter, and the Bournemouth & Boscombe Light Opera Company Choir.
The season concludes with Bournemouth’s annual pantomime, starring Melanie Walters, Olivia Birchenough, comedian Noel Brodie, West End star Jack Wilcox, and The Fabulous Sisters Jamie Morris and Tarot Joseph — bringing a magical finale to the town’s festive celebrations.
