Health professionals invited to online event
Health professionals are being invited to help shape a new child and adolescent mental health service in Bournemouth by joining Dorset HealthCare’s latest recruitment event.
An online information session on 11 November will introduce roles at the Trust’s new eight-bed psychiatric intensive care unit on Alumhurst Road, due to open early next year.
Consultants, clinical psychologists, specialty doctors, clinical team leads and mental health nurses can join the virtual event between 7.30pm and 8.15pm to hear more about working in CAMHS inpatient services.
The new unit forms part of a £70.6 million Government investment to improve inpatient mental health care, so young people can receive 24-hour treatment closer to family and friends.
Claire Ozmund, CAMHS inpatient clinical service manager, will explain how the team supports young people aged 13 to 18 with serious mental health problems and outline available career paths.
She said: “If you are passionate about providing care, promoting recovery and wellbeing in a modern, purpose-built setting, come along to our online event to find out more.”
Other Dorset HealthCare colleagues, including the service director, ward manager, consultant psychiatrist and human resources staff, will be available to answer questions about the new service and recruitment process.
Further details, a video about the new facility and information on current vacancies are available on the Trust’s website, and places at the event can be reserved by emailing [dhc.careers@nhs.net](mailto:dhc.careers@nhs.net).
