Police recruitment Q&A live online

Dorset Police is giving people a chance to learn more about joining the force during a live online question and answer session later this month.

The event takes place between 6.30pm and 7.30pm on Monday 27 October and will be streamed on the force’s Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube pages.

Officers, recruitment specialists and the Positive Action team will be available to discuss the different routes into policing and answer questions from anyone considering a career in law enforcement.

Assistant Chief Constable Mark Callaghan said the session would help people understand what it means to serve as a police or detective constable in Dorset. He added that there are several entry routes depending on qualifications and experience, and that the event will give people a chance to speak directly with those who do the job every day.

Those unable to watch live will be able to view a recording afterwards, and anyone without social media can join via YouTube without needing to log in.

Applications for new recruits, transferees, rejoiners and those with military experience are open now through the Dorset Police recruitment website.
