Fail to stop crash leaves pensioner hurt
A woman in her nineties was taken to hospital after a vehicle failed to stop following a collision in Bournemouth.
The incident happened at around 1pm on Saturday 13 September in Grosvenor Road. Dorset Police said the vehicle involved left the scene after the crash.
The woman sustained minor injuries and was treated at hospital by the ambulance service.
Police Constable Paul Wilson, of the Roads Policing Team, said an investigation is ongoing. He explained that officers are carrying out enquiries to identify both the vehicle and the driver.
He added: “I am appealing to anyone who was in the area and saw what happened to please come forward. Also, I am keen to speak to any motorists who may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage.”
The officer also urged the driver to make contact with police. He said it was important the driver “does the right thing and comes forward so we can take your account of what happened.”
