Strike action at Bournemouth Airport has been suspended after Unite announced an improved offer has been made to staff.
The union had planned walkouts from Friday 5 September to Sunday 7 September and again on Sunday 14 September. These strikes will no longer go ahead following talks and a revised deal which Unite is now recommending its members accept.
The suspension means the airport will be fully operational on the planned strike days. Flights and services are expected to run as normal, and passengers are being advised to check in as usual.
Unite confirmed the decision today, Wednesday 3 September, saying the improved offer marked enough progress for them to pause industrial action while members are consulted.
Bournemouth Airport has not released further details of the revised deal but welcomed the suspension of strike action, which avoids disruption for passengers during a busy travel period.
