A338 in Bournemouth was blocked both ways due to an incident earlier this afternoon with long delays on the approaches in both directions.
As a result, Hurn Road, Castle Lane and other surrounding routes are congested as traffic diverts away from the incident..
3pm: Northbound has re-opened but local routes are slow moving, especially Castle Lane East and West, Iford Bridge, Christchurch Road, Hurn Road and Fairmile Road.
Dorset Police told us: “We received a report at 1.46pm on Monday 18 August 2025 of a man in need of medical attention in the area of the A338 Wessex Way in Bournemouth.
“Officers attended and road closures were put in place. The man was left in the care of the ambulance service.”
