Firework cruise in Poole Harbour to raise funds for charity

A special charity cruise around Poole Harbour will take place this summer to raise money for Diverse Abilities.

The three-hour evening trip sets sail at 7.30pm on Wednesday 21 August and offers views of Sandbanks Peninsula, Studland Bay and Brownsea Island before returning to Poole Quay for a fireworks finale at 10pm.

The event will help support the work of Diverse Abilities, Dorset’s disability charity, which delivers more than 300,000 hours of care to around 2,000 children and adults with disabilities across the county.

Guests will be welcomed on board with a glass of prosecco, and can also take part in a raffle or buy drinks from the onboard bar.

Mariana Swain, events executive at Diverse Abilities, said the cruise is a relaxing way to enjoy a summer evening while raising vital funds.

Tickets and optional meal upgrades are available through the charity’s website.
