Littledown gym changing rooms transformed after major upgrade project

The gym changing rooms at BH Live Active, Littledown in Bournemouth have reopened following a major refurbishment.

Managed by BH Live in partnership with BCP Council, the leisure centre has invested over £350,000 to improve its male, female and accessible changing facilities.

The upgraded areas now feature new lockers, cubicles, showers, toilets, vanity areas and hairdryers. Flooring, décor and lighting have also been updated, with energy-efficient systems installed.

The project was completed by Seascape South, BCP Council’s construction company, in response to feedback from customers.

Rob Cunningham, Director of Leisure and Business Development at BH Live, said Littledown welcomes hundreds of thousands of visits each year and the improved facilities aim to make the space more modern and accessible for all users.

The changing room works form part of wider improvement plans. A separate joint project between BH Live and BCP Council is currently under way to replace four ageing boilers with more sustainable and reliable systems.
