
A man who required medical attention on Richmond Park Road in Bournemouth yesterday has died.
The road was closed during the afternoon whilst emergency services attended reports of an incident around 2pm.
The death of the man, who was in his 60s, is not being treated as suspicious.
Dorset Police told Bournemouth One: “We were called at 1.43pm on Wednesday 7 May 2025 of a man in his 60s requiring medical attention in Richmond Park Road in Bournemouth.
“Officers attended alongside the ambulance service and very sadly, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Following enquiries, his death is not being treated as suspicious. His family has been informed.
“Our thoughts are with the man’s family and friends at this very difficult time.”
A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) added: “We were called at 12:52hrs on Wednesday 07 May to an incident in Bournemouth. We sent two double-crewed land ambulances, an air ambulance, a first responder, and an operations officer to the scene.”
