AFC Bournemouth and Black Knight Football Club confirmed today that they have signed a binding agreement to acquire Vitality Stadium.
The deal returns the stadium to the club, which has played there since 1910, through a new entity named Black Knight Stadium Limited.
Owner and General Partner Bill Foley said, “This acquisition is a strategic and logical step as we pursue AFC Bournemouth’s and Black Knight Football Club’s continued ambitions.”
He added, “We have acknowledged that accommodating more of our growing fanbase is integral to our goals for the club.”
Vitality Stadium, previously known as Dean Court, has a current capacity of 11,286 and is the smallest stadium in the Premier League.
The stadium acquisition follows the recent opening of the club’s Performance Centre, part of a wider strategy to invest in facilities and infrastructure.
AFC Bournemouth has confirmed that stadium ownership will support any future renovation or expansion plans.
The stadium has hosted key moments including the club’s promotion to the Premier League in 2015, a 2024 win over Manchester City, and events such as Elton John’s 2006 concert and Chris Billam-Smith’s 2023 world title fight.
The club also thanked former stadium owner Structadene for its role in recent years.
