Fire, Police and Ambulance attended an incident on Wessex Way this afternoon which turned out to be a broken down vehicle and patches of fog.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue service responded to reports of a fire in the open, but when the crew from Westbourne attended, it was a false alarm caused by fog.
Traffic was heavily congested as a result of the broken down vehicle, and the presence of emergency vehicles between the Bournemouth West Roundabout and County Gates.
