
Police have appealed for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward following a collision in Bournemouth which left a motorcycle rider with life-threatening injuries.
Emergency services were called to Wimborne Road in Winton yesterday lunchtime after the collision between the red Triumph motorbike and a red Vauxhall Mokka.
The rider, a man in his 60s from Bournemouth, was taken to Southampton General Hospital with serious injuries. His family has been informed.
The driver of the car did not sustain any serious injuries.
Road closures were put in place while emergency services safely dealt with the incident and carried out an examination of the scene.
Police Sergeant Dave Cotterill, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “An investigation is underway into the collision and I am really keen to speak to anyone who may have seen what happened.
“Also, if you were driving along Winton High Street at the time of the collision and may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage please get in touch.
“I would like to thank the public for their patience and understanding while the road closures were in place.”
