Dorset Charity SAMEE to present its employment programme at Austrian Parliament
Bournemouth-based charity SAMEE has been selected to present its employment programme at the Austrian Parliament after being recognised as a Zero Project 2025 Awardee.
CEO Sam Everard will head to Vienna on March 6th to be honoured at the United Nations. SAMEE is one of only two UK organisations chosen, alongside the BBC.
“I was nervous about going to the UN, but presenting at the Austrian Parliament too—it’s incredible!” said Everard.
SAMEE’s 50-week programme helps young disabled people develop self-employment skills. Out of twelve participants, nine have launched businesses, and three have secured jobs.
Selected as one of five awardees to present at Austria’s parliamentary plenary room, SAMEE’s initiative may influence policies internationally.
Michael Fembek, CEO of the Zero Project, praised the awardees for creating “game-changing pathways to employment.”
The Zero Project Conference 2025 (#ZeroCon25) will be live-streamed on the Zero Project YouTube channel.
