One person has been taken to hospital after a car collided with a telegraph pole in Verwood on Thursday afternoon.
The incident happened on the corner of Ringwood Road and Sherwood Drive, with Police and Ambulance services called to the scene.
The road was blocked for a short time around 2.30pm.
A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 14:14hrs on Thursday 6 February to a road traffic collision in Verwood.
“We sent a double-crewed land ambulance to the scene and we conveyed one patient by land ambulance to Poole Hospital.”
Dorset Police confirmed at the time that a telegraph pole was down following a collision involving a car.
They told Bournemouth One: “We received a report at 2.17pm on Thursday 6 February 2025 of a road traffic collision on Ringwood Road in Verwood.
“It was reported that a vehicle had collided with a lamppost.
“Officers are currently in attendance.”
The road reopened around 3.30pm.
