Jet2 launches its first flight from Bournemouth Airport today.
The airline and holiday operator will be taking passengers to Tenerife.
In a major expansion for the airport, Jet2 is introducing up to 27 weekly flights and holidays to 16 destinations this year, creating more than 100 jobs.
They include Rhodes, Ibiza and Crete.
Two of the destinations, Fuerteventura and Madeira, will be exclusive to Jet2 from Bournemouth Airport.
Two Jet2 planes will be based at Bournemouth.
The company revealed its plans in March 2024 with the first flights due to take off in April.
However, the date was brought forward to this month following strong demand from holidaymakers.
