Floods affecting major routes as yellow weather warning of wind and rain continues

Flashback: Flooding at Sandbanks in Poole

Heavy rain and strong winds are affecting the roads this afternoon with a yellow weather warning remaining in place.

Bournemouth One listeners have reported local flooding on some of the main routes, including the A338, A31 and A35.

Here is the latest list of areas reported:

  • A338 Wessex Way between Hurn and Ashley Heath
  • A31 Hurn Road at Ringwood
  • A31 eastbound across the New Forest around Picket Post (delays building)
  • A351 through Holton Heath
  • Poole Road at Upton
  • Ashley Road at Branksome
  • Shore Road and Sandbanks Road
  • Highcliffe Road and Lymington Road
  • Bashley Cross Road
  • Verwood Road near the Alderholt turn-off
