First ‘Festive Streets’ brings free family entertainment and activities to Bournemouth town centre from today

A new events initiative called ‘Festive Streets’ which is bringing free family entertainment and activities to Bournemouth town centre launches today.

Taking place every Thursday evening from 4pm until 7pm until Christmas the live events are being held at different locations.

They’re funded and organised by Bournemouth Town Centre BID in partnership with BCP Council and the Town Centre Improvement Fund.

Today’s first event is at Horseshoe Common.

Paul Kinvig, Chief Operating Officer at Bournemouth Town Centre BID, told Bournemouth One: “Tonight on Horseshoe Common you’ll be able to meet Father Christmas and his elf, giving out goodies.

“There’s free eco arts and crafts with Outside-In, we’ve got a spectacular fire show, a fun neon juggler and, of course, you can take a selfie at our ski lift selfie station.

“It’s from 4pm until 7pm and it would be great to see you down there.”
