Cordon placed around Poole Police station after possible unexploded ordnance arrived

Poole Police station was partially closed and a cordon put in place after a piece of possible unexploded ordnance was taken to the premises.

The incident happened on Wednesday morning, 6th November, around 10am.

Dorset Police said the item was located in the Canford Cliffs area and brought into the station by a member of the public.

The force is now seeking expert advice from an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team.

“The enquiry office has been temporarily closed and we would like to thank members of the public for their patience and understanding as we respond to this incident,” Dorset Police confirmed.
