Hospice’s annual memorial event returns to Poole Park this month

A Poole hospice which is currently celebrating its 30th anniversary is to hold its annual Tie A Yellow Ribbon memorial event this month.

Forest Holme Hospice’s free event – sponsored by MSP Capital – will take place in Poole Park on Saturday June 15 between midday and 3pm.

It is open to everyone, not just those who have lost a relative or friend at Forest Holme.

Members of the public will be able to write a dedication and tie a yellow ribbon in memory of a loved-one.

The ribbons will then be returned to the hospice garden for the remainder of the summer.

The memorial event will also include local craft stalls, special performances by the Citrus Singers choir, and free craft activities for children.

Claire Cooper, Fundraiser at Forest Holme Hospice Charity, said: “This annual event is an opportunity for our local community to come together, irrespective of whether they have a connection to Forest Holme Hospice, to reflect and celebrate the lives of our loved ones by writing your dedication and tying a yellow ribbon in the beautiful surroundings of Poole Park.

“People are free to bring a picnic and enjoy this special occasion.”

For those who are unable to attend but would still like to make a dedication, the hospice will happily make it in their absence.
