AFC Bournemouth have won their first game back from the international break 2-1 after a late own goal from Everton captain Seamus Coleman.
Andoni Iraola picked an expected lineup with Tyler Adams making his first league start for the club after recovering from his hamstring injury.
The first half saw neither team threaten with both sides hardly testing the keeper but Jordan Pickford was the busier of the two shotstoppers.
The second 45 came much more alive as Bournemouth dominated which led to a fantastic Dominic Solanke header from a pinpoint Lloyd Kelly cross after a great team move.
The game then swang to and fro with each team taking turns to put the other under increasing pressure but neither side could get the game’s second goal.
Just as the Cherries thought they were out of the water with three points, an Everton cross met the gloves of Bournemouth’s Neto before he dropped it into the path of Beto who netted an 87th-minute equaliser.
However, the home side showed their resilience and restored their lead late on when Toffees legend Seamus Coleman chested a Bournemouth cross into his own net in comical fashion.
The south coast side then held on to see the game out and secured a big three points that keeps the club 13th but within a point of Fulham in 12th who drew 3-3 with Sheffield United.
The game’s MOTM was Lewis Cook after a roaring performance in the middle of the park helped the Cherries over the line.
