A body of a woman has been found on the Middle Chine path leading towards Bournemouth Beach, at Westbourne.
The discovery was made around 6am on Wednesday when Police and Ambulance services attended the incident.
The death is being treated as non-suspicious, and there’s an increased police presence in the area whilst investigations are carried out.
A Dorset Police spokesperson told Bournemouth One: “We received a report at 5.53am on Wednesday 27 March 2024 that a woman had been found unresponsive in Middle Chine beach in the Westbourne area of Bournemouth.
“Officers attended with the ambulance service and sadly, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The coroner has been notified.
“An investigation is underway to establish the circumstances surrounding the death, which is currently being treated as non-suspicious. A cordon is in place at the scene and there will be an increased police presence in the area while enquiries are carried out.”
