One person is in a serious condition in hospital after a two vehicle crash on Castle Lane West on Monday evening.
The road was closed overnight as Fire, Police and Ambulance services attended to deal with the incident.
It reopened at 5.30am on Tuesday, with traffic diverted around via Charminster Road and West Way.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police told Bournemouth One: “We were called at 11.51pm on Monday 25 March 2024 to a report of a two vehicle collision in Castle Lane West in Bournemouth.
“Officers attended with fire and ambulance services. The road was closed while emergency services safely dealt with the incident.
“One person was taken to hospital for treatment by the ambulance service to a serious injury. The vehicles were recovered and road reopened at around 5.30am on Tuesday 26 March 2024.”
