Hendy Group is motoring ahead with its expansion plans for Dorset with the arrival of two new franchises.
They opened this month and are based at one of the company’s most recent new sites – Branksome Poole – where Hendy launched its first Vauxhall dealership last year.
Fiat and Abarth have both joined the Hendy stable in an expansion that Chief Executive Paul Hendy said demonstrates the group’s ongoing commitment to the county and its developing relationship with the Stellantis brand.
He said: “Dorset has always been a key area for Hendy Group and the addition of these new franchises to our portfolio in the county gives customers more opportunity to enjoy the Hendy experience with our wider offering.
“2024 is an important year for the group as we celebrate 165 years in business during which time we have continued to invest in new facilities, manufacturers, and our people to be part of Team Hendy.
“We are delighted to begin this year’s expansion programme with this news for Dorset and look forward to developing these new brands in Branksome.
“The addition of these new franchises reinforces the reputation and ability of Hendy Group as manufacturers choose us to represent their brands across the south.
“We launched our first Vauxhall dealership at Branksome Poole last year which has been a great success, and we are delighted that its parent company, Stellantis, has now awarded us Fiat and Abarth franchises.”
First to buy a new Fiat at Branksome were Poole couple Diane and Gary Booth who fell in love with the Fiat 500 at first sight.
The arrival of the new brands means Hendy now represents 23 manufacturers across the south coast.
