Bournemouth suffer 3-1 away defeat to Fulham

The Cherries come away from their trip to London empty-handed after a 3-1 defeat to mid-table Fulham.

The game was lost in the first 45 minutes where Marco Silva’s side capitalised on a slow and mistake-prone Bournemouth.

Bobby Decordova-Reid netted in five minutes after Lewis Cook slipped inside the penalty area affording the Jamacian a golden opportunity which the in-form player took.

Iraola could not get a reaction out of his team and within 36 minutes found themselves 2-0 down when Rodrigo Muniz met a perfect Willian cross to finish off a great team move.

The second half saw more from the Cherries and Marcos Sensei scrambled home a goal from a corner but the jubilations were short-lived when Rodrigo Muniz grabbed his second of the game just two minutes later.

While the second half saw much improvement from the south coast side, Fulham just had more on the day and came away with the three points.

Bournemouth will find hope in new loan signing Enes Unal who impressed on his first 25 minutes in a Cherries shirt.

Fulham leapfrog AFC Bournemouth into 12th as the Cherries end the day in 13th position.
