Woman arrested following serious injury road traffic collision

A woman has been arrested as police officers continue their investigations into a serious injury road traffic collision in Bournemouth.

The collision happened around eight o’lock in the evening last Wednesday on West Overcliff Drive, near the junction with West Cliff Road.

It involved a silver Vauxhall Astra and a green Vauxhall Insignia, A grey Audi A6 was seen in the area around the same time.

The driver of the Insignia, a Bournemouth man aged in his 30s, remains in a serious condition in Southampton General Hospital.

A woman aged in her 20s from Bournemouth was arrested on suspicion of driving offences.

She has been released under investigation as further enquiries are carried out.

Officers are continuing to appeal for any witnesses who have not already spoken to police, or any motorists with relevant dashcam footage, to come forward.
